    Settled an easement dispute for a large electrical utility that provides energy to over a million customers.

    Settled intellectual property litigation brought in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on behalf of a Pennsylvania-based grocery chain. This matter involved defending copyright and trademark claims brought by a large consumer technology company related to the sale of alleged counterfeit products.

    Represented a startup company in the Smart City industry in an action against a former corporate officer. This matter involved theft of trade secrets and breach of various fiduciary duties. In a matter where mere hours could determine the success or failure of the company, Mark Halderman obtained a preliminary injunction and successfully resolved the matter in his client’s favor.

    Favorably Settled Patent Litigation Involving Medical Device

    Represented a New York-based dermatologist in an infringement action involving his patented methods for effectively utilizing certain health care devices. This matter was brought against a Fortune 500 company and resulted in a favorable settlement for the client.

    Favorably Settled Patent Litigation Involving Various Wireless Technologies

    Obtained settlements in excess of $40 million for patentee in patent infringement actions against multiple Fortune 500 companies. These lawsuits involved digital wireless communication systems and devices utilizing cellular, 802.11, and WiMAX technologies.

Mark Halderman has broad experience in several areas, including intellectual property litigation, real estate and land use disputes, and matters arising under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, Title VI, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Mark focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, where he has substantial experience in patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation. For over a decade, Mark has represented both patentees and accused infringers in disputes concerning various technologies, including those used in telecommunications networks, media streaming, motion sensing and gesture recognition, and diverse mechanical devices. He also has extensive appellate and post-grant proceeding experience, including successful appeals at both the Federal and Eleventh Circuits.
